Family Oasis

In today's Israel, there are different and diverse configurations of contemporary modern families alongside the more traditional ones. However, these forms do not receive an appropriate architectural response, and the typical apartment plague spreads throughout the country like an incurable disease. The design concept of the project began with the interpretation of Adolf Loos's Raumplan, which was often applied to housing for extended family structures. In the three-dimensional organization of the space, overlapping common areas were discovered, creating a continuous space that serves as the heart of family life at home. The project borrows these principles and develops the structural boundaries of the shared space into a central open area that combines family and urban activities.
